Tiffany & Co. and the CFDA sponsored a competition among previous CFDA finalists for a Collaboration inspired by Gertrude Whitney to coordinate with Tiffany's sponsorship of the 2017 Whitney Biennial.
As design director for Eddie Borgo, I led our team to develop a collection taking cues from Gertrude Whitney's sculpture and iconoclastic style while remaining true to Eddie Borgo's brand language.
Our team won the competition and our pieces were made as a capsule collection for sale at Tiffany & Co. that launched in November 2016.
PreFall 2016 was my first full collection for Eddie Borgo. We decided to reassess Eddie's Brand to address what we believed was the core of his styling. After going through his archives, we decided that sculptural metal featuring industrial iconography and minimalism were the true basis for his brand language. PreFall was a new interpretation of it.
Enchant fashion was the first jewelry collection I created when I began my career at Tiffany. It launched to celebrate Tiffany & Co.'s 175th Anniversary and was based on heritage Tiffany design from the 19th Century, but updated for contemporary sensibilities. We launched styles in 18k Gold, Sterling Silver, and Tiffany's exclusive Rubedo alloy.
Masterpieces 2015 was a collection designed for a VIP client event at Tiffany & Co.'s store in Singapore. It featured exclusive diamond styles with a bold and modern fashion sensibility.
The items featured here are a selection of my designs from a larger collection worked on by my team of 9 designers.
Every year, Victoria's Secret creates a fantasy bra from precious metals and gems as the crowning feature of their annual fashion show. They select a premier designer and model to feature the bra, and while it is meant to speak to the language of the designer, it must also have the Victoria's Secret silhouette: a delicate push-up style made to the contours of the model's body.
For 2016, Eddie Borgo was selected as their featured designer to create a masterpiece for Jasmine Tookes to wear. As design director for Eddie Borgo, I was tasked with executing the design which was selected from a series of sketches I produced for the house.
During my time at Tiffany & Co. I had the incredible opportunity to design some of the most exclusive pieces of jewelry made from rare and exquisite gems and hand crafted by the world's best artisans.
Victoria Secret came to Eddie Borgo to collaborate on their 2016 Fantasy Bra. We were very honored to create this design which launched for the Victoria Secret Fashion Show in 2016 and was worn by model, Jasmine Tookes.
